Need a hand with Seekee? The answers to the most common questions are below. If they don't help, email
seekee@appisoul.com and we'll get back to you.
Telling us your iPhone model and iOS version helps.
Getting started
Seekee opens on Tonight. Pick how much time you have, the mood and who's watching, then tap
Find tonight's pick. Tap the movie you'd rather watch in each duel; a few taps later you have tonight's
pick, with its trailer and where to watch it. No account is needed.
Movie-night rooms
- Start a room: Tonight › Create room › Open room. Share the invite link, show the QR code, or read out
the room code.
- Join a room: Tonight › Join room, then tap the room under "Rooms on this Wi-Fi", or type the code.
- Can't find the room? Every phone must be on the same Wi-Fi, and the host must keep Seekee open. Some
guest or public networks block phones from seeing each other; a home network or a personal hotspot works.
- Local Network permission: rooms need it. If you declined it, turn it on in iOS Settings › Privacy &
Security › Local Network › Seekee.
- Veto: everyone gets one veto per night. Tap Veto under a poster to swap that movie for a fresh
one; everyone then votes again.
- One phone? Choose 2 to 5 players under "How are you deciding?" and pass the phone round.
"Done by"
Under "How much time?", choose Done by… and set the time the film needs to be over. Seekee only suggests
films that end by then, leaving 10 minutes to get settled.
Planning a movie night
Me › Plan movie night lets you set a showtime and a reminder, with optional pre-show music. Within 8 hours of
showtime, a countdown appears on your Lock Screen. If reminders don't arrive, check iOS Settings › Notifications ›
Seekee.
Your music
- Tap + in the Music tab to import songs you own from the Files app, or drop files into Files › On My
iPhone › Seekee.
- MP3, M4A/AAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF and FLAC are supported. Songs bought with copy protection (DRM) can't be
played.
- Music plays offline and keeps playing with the screen locked. Your files never leave your iPhone.
Your data
- There's no account. Your lists, movie-night history, rooms and music are stored only on your iPhone.
- To erase it, use Me › Settings › Reset all data (your music stays), or Me › Settings › Remove all music.
Deleting the app removes everything.
- Read the full privacy policy and user agreement.
Ads
If Seekee shows ads, they're labelled "Ad". To report one, use Me › Settings › Ads › Report an ad, or email us a
description of the ad and where you saw it. You can turn off ad tracking at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy
& Security › Tracking.
